The Great Battery Test! October 8, 2009

Grade 4C and the other Grades of Level 3 will be testing different brands of batteries. We will be conducting a ‘Fair Test’, with our variable being the different brands of batteries. Our controls will be to use the same type/ model/ brand of torch, to use the same size batteries and to turn the torches on at the same time.
Each day we will turn the torches on (only turning them off for recess, lunch and after school). We will time using a stop watch to see how long each battery takes to run completely flat.
The challenge is to guess which brand will run for the longest length of time? What do you think? Please leave a comment guessing which brand you think will last the test of time!
Will it be;
Toshiba? Eveready Gold? or Panasonic?

I am a carnivore but do not fret.
I do not eat people so you won’t get hurt.
I eat reptiles, birds and eggs with dead carrion as well.
I breed in autumn, a wonderful time with all the leaves falling from the tree tops.
I know my dots are scary but please don’t get scared.
My dots go down my long furry tail as well.
My favourite food is insects too.
I am a friendly animal and I won’t hurt you.
My colour is dark chocolate and reddish brown.
I love all people they are very nice to me and my relations too.

I have a strong tail,
I have little ears,
I have little arms,
And you are one of my fears!
I have big, strong feet,
And I have a little Joey.
I always try to make him keep the pouch neat.
You’ll find me in the bush,
Eating gum leaves,
If you get the chance to pat me please don’t push,
And you’ll find I’m a relative of the kangaroos.
